Over the past few months, we’ve seen countless rumours about Oasis returning to the road in 2027.
As many of you know, at Oasis Fans Club we’ve never been interested in chasing every piece of speculation just for clicks or engagement. Unless there’s something genuinely worth discussing, we’d rather wait.
This time, however, things feel a little different.
According to the Manchester Evening News — one of the most respected publications covering Manchester and its major events — plans are reportedly being discussed for Oasis to return in the summer of 2027. The report suggests the band could play a 12-night residency at Manchester’s Etihad Stadium, before embarking on another world tour.
On Friday morning (July 3rd), Liam Gallagher added further fuel to the fire when jokingly replying to fans with football banter around the England v Mexico game. He replied to one fan:
“You say that now but soon as we announce the gig nxt wk I mean nxt year I mean happy Christmas you’ll be running around like headless chickens trying to get a ticket so stop acting tuff.”
Nothing has been officially announced by the band or their management, so this should still be treated as speculation rather than confirmation.
That said, the source itself is what makes this story stand out. The Manchester Evening News has a strong track record when it comes to reporting on major events in the city, which is why many fans are paying closer attention to this report than to the usual tabloid rumours.
The newspaper also noted:
“We have approached Oasis’ PR team and the Etihad Stadium, but there has been no comment on the ongoing speculation.”
