Oasis could be heading back to the top of the Official Albums Chart after launching their highly anticipated reunion tour in Cardiff on Friday night.
The band’s singles compilation Time Flies… 1994-2009 is currently on track to reclaim the Number 1 spot for the first time since its original release week back in 2010. Meanwhile, their legendary second album (What’s the Story) Morning Glory? (1995) is set to soar 11 places to Number 3, and their iconic 1994 debut Definitely Maybe is climbing 22 places to Number 4.
Standing between Oasis and a historic all-Oasis Top 3 is Sabrina Carpenter, whose hit album Short n’ Sweet is less than 1,000 units behind at the midweek stage and is currently on course for Number 2, boosted by her performances at London’s Hyde Park over the weekend.
Elsewhere, the best-selling album of the week so far comes from Hard-Fi, who are poised to return to the Top 5 with the deluxe 20th anniversary reissue of their chart-topping 2005 debut Stars of CCTV, currently tracking at Number 5.
