A spectacular tribute to Oasis has just been unveiled at St David’s Cardiff: the “Wonder Wall,” a colossal portrait of Noel and Liam Gallagher made entirely from 3,000 black and white bucket hats.
Standing an impressive 16 feet tall and over 20 feet wide, this one-of-a-kind artwork was created to mark the start of the Oasis Live ’25 Reunion Tour, which kicks off in Cardiff on July 4th and 5th.
Crafted by renowned Welsh artist Nathan Wyburn, the striking monochrome masterpiece captures the brothers in their full Britpop glory. It’s now on display at the upper level of the Eastside dining quarter at St David’s, where it will remain until July 6th.
To celebrate the unveiling today (Saturday, June 28th), St David’s is hosting an all-day pre-gig party, complete with an Oasis playlist and the “Supersonic Spinner” game offering Gallagher-themed prizes.
“Some might say it’s just a load of bucket hats, but we think it’s definitely, maybe, the best use of bucket hats ever,” said Helen Morgan, Centre Director at St David’s Cardiff.
