Oasis have dropped another cryptic teaser today, and this time the clues appear to point very strongly towards Boston, Massachusetts.
At first glance, the scene looks like an old-fashioned American barbershop. But, as with the previous teasers, several apparently random details seem to have been carefully placed to give fans something to decode.
And there is one particularly significant date hidden on the wall.
Gillette
One of the most obvious clues is the vintage Gillette advertising poster.
While Gillette is, of course, a global shaving brand, in this context it immediately brings another name to mind: Gillette Stadium, home of the New England Patriots in Foxborough, Massachusetts, in the Boston area.
And this is especially interesting because recent reports have already listed Gillette Stadium among the potential venues for Oasis’ 2027 tour.
BRADY
Next to the Gillette advertisement is a boxing poster featuring the name BRADY.
Rather than identifying this as a specific boxer, the strongest connection appears to be Tom Brady, the legendary New England Patriots quarterback.
Brady and Gillette Stadium are practically synonymous with New England sports culture, making the combination of BRADY + GILLETTE another strong Boston-area clue.
The date: SAT 11 MAR
But the most intriguing detail may be hanging above the posters.
The clock/calendar clearly shows: SAT – 11 MAR – 10:37
And 11 March 1995 is a very important date in Oasis history.
On that exact day, Oasis played at the Avalon in Boston, Massachusetts, during the Definitely Maybe tour.
So the teaser appears to contain a direct reference to Oasis’ first Boston concert.
