London, January 30, 2025 — After months of speculation, Gibson has officially unveiled the Noel Gallagher Les Paul™ Standard, presented last night at the Gibson Garage London and now available for purchase from January 30 via authorized Gibson dealers and Gibson.com.
Designed by Noel Gallagher himself, this new model follows the incredible success of the Gibson Custom Noel Gallagher Les Paul Standard, an ultra-limited edition of just 25 hand-signed guitars that sold out instantly. Now Gibson brings fans a more widely available — though still limited — version of the instrument that marked Noel’s return to the stage during one of the most anticipated reunions in rock history.
The Noel Gallagher Les Paul Standard features a non-weight-relieved mahogany body with a bound maple cap, a mahogany neck with Gallagher’s preferred SlimTaper™ profile, and a bound rosewood fingerboard with 22 medium jumbo frets and acrylic trapezoid inlays.
It comes equipped with a pair of chrome-covered Gibson P-90 Soapbar pickups, hand-wired to individual volume and tone controls and a three-way pickup selector. Hardware includes an ABR-1 Tune-O-Matic™ bridge, aluminum Stop Bar tailpiece, Grover® Rotomatic® tuners, and a chrome switch washer and jack plate. On the back of the headstock, you’ll find a reproduction of Noel’s signature decal.
A black five-ply pickguard, reminiscent of Les Paul Custom models, completes its distinctive look, while each guitar ships in a Gibson hardshell case.
The model takes inspiration from the original Les Paul first spotted in Noel’s hands during the Oasis reunion tour kick-off in Cardiff on July 4th — a moment that instantly set the internet ablaze with speculation.
“This guitar is simply too iconic and cool not to be released more widely and made available for more fans to get their hands on,” says Lee Bartram, Head of Commercial and Marketing EMEA at Gibson. “Noel’s original Gibson Custom version of this Les Paul was the first guitar he played during the biggest rock ’n’ roll reunion of the 21st century. This Gibson USA version embraces that legacy, capturing a historic moment in British and global live music.”
