The highly anticipated Oasis documentary Don’t Look Back in Anger has officially been selected for the 83rd Venice International Film Festival, where it will receive its World Premiere in the Open – Out of Competition section.
The festival will take place on the Lido di Venezia from 2–12 September 2026, with the documentary joining one of the world’s most prestigious film events.
Directed by Dylan Southern and Will Lovelace, and conceived by Steven Knight (Peaky Blinders), the 122-minute film follows the extraordinary story of Oasis’ Live ’25 reunion tour, exploring not only the concerts themselves but also the emotional impact of Liam and Noel Gallagher’s return to the stage after more than 16 years apart.
According to the official festival synopsis, the documentary features the first joint interviews with Liam and Noel Gallagher in more than 25 years, alongside never-before-seen rehearsal footage, backstage access and performances from the sold-out reunion tour. It also reflects on what Oasis and their music continue to mean to millions of fans across generations.
The selection confirms the cultural significance of Oasis’ reunion, with the band now making its way from sold-out stadiums to one of cinema’s most celebrated international stages. Festival director Alberto Barbera has also confirmed that Liam and Noel Gallagher are expected to attend the world premiere on the Lido.
Following its Venice debut, Don’t Look Back in Anger will be released in IMAX and cinemas worldwide in September before becoming available on Disney+ internationally (and Disney+ / Hulu in the United States).
